The DG Skills Development, NSDP Director and steering members of NSDP had a farewell meeting with Mr. Gaskin Leon, capacity building manager in the education sector for UNESCO in Afghanistan. Leon has recently completed his working term in the country. He served almost five years for UNESCO office in Kabul.
During his services period at UNESCO, he worked with various ministries including Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and NSDP in which he has performed his unprecedented services. It is worth mentioning to recall his greatest services and cooperation in the development of first national strategy for vocational and education sector, study and assessment the quality of providing training in MOLSA's training centers, capacity building in short term training courses and the development of National Occupational Skills Standards.
In the farewell meeting, Mr. Leon describes Afghanistan as a country with high human and economic potentials and rich culture. He expressed hope that with the return of peace, he will take a tour and visit Afghanistan and Afghan colleagues.
